Details were given of Kent County Council's consultation entitled "Framing our Budget" which set out proposals for meeting a funding gap of £60m to £80m per annum over the next three years. The report summarised new savings proposals on which views were sought by 1 November 2012. Consideration was given to whether a response to the proposals should be formulated on behalf of the Council.
The Cabinet resolved that:
No response be made to the consultation.
Reasons: It was considered that the County Council's budget was a matter for that authority to determine.
